Class Description
Designed for high school students, this four-day hands-on camp introduces automotive technology and vehicle care. Students will learn basic maintenance and vehicle inspections, meet automotive professionals, and tour local shops.
Participants will:
- Complete a basic vehicle inspection and learn about key vehicle components.
- Meet and talk with automotive technicians about their jobs, skills, and career paths.
- Tour automotive shops to see how vehicles are serviced and repaired.
- Participate in a hands-on activity that demonstrates how aerodynamics can affect vehicle performance.

Students participating in select programs at the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center may be eligible to receive financial incentives. Participants in the NextGen Builders and Pre-Apprenticeship programs can earn up to $1,000, while participants in other qualifying programs may earn gift cards valued from $50 to $100. All incentives are based on program attendance and active participation and are not guaranteed.
